More Facilities, More Competition: Bruno Maggi’s Presentation at the 2026 Castiglione Convention
2 February 2026
We attended BTM – Business Tourism Management in Bari with a specific goal in mind: to observe.
Rather than participating as exhibitors, we arrived as attentive listeners in a sector undergoing a profound transformation. The event brought together tourism operators, designers, and entrepreneurs to discuss the new directions of contemporary travel. Throughout the sessions and panels we attended, several key themes emerged that are progressively redefining the way we think about hospitality
Architecture, Nature, and Quality of Life
One of the most compelling presentations was by architect Stefano Boeri, who centered his reflection on the relationship between architecture, the environment, and quality of life. His vision emphasizes how built spaces must increasingly engage in a dialogue with the landscape and nature—a theme that hits close to home for the world of hospitality.
Longevity and Well-being
Another theme that emerged strongly during the event was longevity—an approach to tourism increasingly focused on wellness and life quality. More and more accommodation facilities are integrating spaces and programs dedicated to wellness, transforming the travel experience into a moment of true regeneration.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Hospitality
Attending BTM offered several points of reflection on how the tourism sector is evolving. Sustainability, wellness, and a connection to the local territory are destined to become increasingly central to the design of hospitality structures.
In upcoming blog posts, we will dive deeper into some of these aspects, starting specifically with the relationship between wellness, architecture, and the value of the guest experience.
